Penny, Ann Marie, & I had the most pleasant and amazing (although abbreviated) experience at the Annapolis Villager’s Annual House Tours this weekend.
This year, model trains were in!
(You are welcome to enjoy Photos of the tour that will appear on the Annapolis Villagers website shortly)

The first house that we visited was “A zinger of a swinger at the Schwingers” !

Pat & Dick Schwinger Glenwood Md.
Eye candy was everywhere we looked. This home must be referred to as Dick & Pat’s ‘Grand Collectable Exposition Extraordinaire’!
Christmas in the City, The villages of Charles Dickens, the North Pole, Snowbabies, and the Little Town of Bethlehem were all prominently featured in humongous displays. Expert workmanship was visible in every detail, wherever our wide eyes wandered, on the first floor.
And, like the Phantom of the Opera, the ‘pièce de résistance’ was hidden in their cavernous basement!
Three master displays fashioned with two and three levels of brilliant “SNOW VILLAGE” craftsmanship. There were trains, trains and more trains running on every level of these multi-level platforms!
I felt like Jimmy Buffet, “trains to the left ..trains to the right, and you’re the only girl in town!”
;…trains…trains…TRAINS!!!...
No, “HO… HO… HO… gauge”… JUST O …YES O ... JUST O gauge!
This house was overflowing with fun and good food!
Our second, and final stop, was a “Stellar Presentation” at Stella & Julius Angelucci’s home, in Severna Park Maryland.
And what to our wondering eyes should appear ?
Room after room of delightful vignettes everywhere!
Two hours flew by, as quick as a wink
With so many ideas for us to rethink!
As we put on our coats and were turning to go
Our hosts said “downstairs, we have lots more to show”
Stepping down from the stairway, I gazed out with awe
Vignettes of the villages lined wall to wall
And there on one side was another display
An ‘O’ Gauge train running, completed my day.
But deep in my heart I am really dismayed
At missing the Sellers & Stevenson’s displays!

Dean & John Stevenson Millersville Md.

Wanda & Dennis Sellers La Plata Md.
Many thanks go out to Pete Baer for arranging the tour and for these wonderful photo’s
