The NCC was founded by Jack Skeels in
1992 to serve as an umbrella organization for Department 56
Collector Clubs in the United States and Canada. The purpose of the
NCC is to promote Member Clubs, cultivate cooperation amongst them,
facilitate the exchange of information to and between them, assist
in the formation of new clubs and stimulate collector events &
gatherings.
Member Clubs hold regular meetings that keep
collectors engaged and connected to the exciting world of collecting
Department 56 villages and products. Meeting activities range from a
wide variety of topics which include the latest village news,
display building, Styrofoam carving, tips for lighting, make &
takes, and much, much more!
The NCC is not limited to just clubs. We have
a very broad base of Associate Members, as well. These valued
Associate Members range from retailers of Department 56 products to
secondary market dealers, publications and related collector
resources. So, if you are in search of a retailer committed to the
villages and clubs, they are the “go-to”! And, be sure and tell them
how you heard about them.
Department 56 enthusiasts also love to attend
collector gatherings! At these gatherings, we come together and
share the latest collectible information, attend seminars,
facilitate display contests and raise money for local charities.
