Here are the instructions for one of the Make and Takes I did at the Chicago Gathering
North Pole Candy Fences

1. You Begin with a poster board from the $.99 store. You measure the size that you want for your tiny display to be and you can make it as big and as elaborate as you want. Strip the outer layers of the poster board. If you don’t strip both sides one will become a little wedges do it’s best to strip all of it. If you’re cutting little pieces to make kits for your make and takes for your club I cut them up in four by fours and you can get about 18 pieces to 24 pieces out of one $.99 board.

2. With regular school glue you spread thoroughly and then by sprinkling it with Crystal glitter. If you want to create a Halloween or Thanksgiving one you paint The piece of board with a brown and sprinkle it with of green grass or you could even paint it green as well! Then you leave to the side while it dries out.

3. You cannot find resin gum drops anywhere on the Internet and if you do do find on eBay they cost a lot of money and they are not the right size. So what I found a few years ago was that I just bought a bag of gum drops from the $.99 store and I let them dry out for a week or two so they will become very hard. Then I took Modge podge or regular cheap white glue and sealed it and topped it off with the same Crystal glitter. And they come out and harden and gets healed beautifully!

4. You need 3 paper straws. Cut the first one into 3 pieces 2 inches long each one. Then take Remaining two straws and cut them into 4 pieces of 3 inches each. Make sure you measure them and they are all the right size! At the end you should have 3 x 2 inches and 4 x 3 inches! Then spread glue all around them and sprinkle it with Crystal glitter. I use a sandwich bag which makes it a lot cleaner and a lot easier!
5. Hot glue the post according to the pics! Late to the 2 inch and place to 3 inch in between to form a fence. Completely dry turn it around and put in the remaining posts in the same manner! Take your corner fence and hot glue it to your board.
6. Hot glue the gumdrops to the three posts of your fence. Then decorate anyway you want!! ?? . Remember you can do any season and you can make your fences as long as you need yo! It’s a fun little project!
7. Finish decorating anyway you want.
